Double Negative Tree is a series of life-size sculptures of trees plucked from Google Maps and fabricated out of aluminum sheets.

They reveal how ubiquitous technology filters our view of the natural world. The trees are a new typology, a new type of illusion for our current on-screen age. These strange forms are passing, likely to be superceded by tomorrow’s new pictures.
